Alberto Antonini blends modern techniques with ancient tradition to create Da Vinci wines from the Tuscany region of Italy. As the principal winemaker and technical director for 200 small-vineyard owners of the Cantine Leonardo da Vinci, he upholds the reputation of 600 years of winemaking families.
The Da Vinci vineyard owners believe winemaking should be linked to the land where the grapes are grown. Alberto respects this Tuscan tradition and also embraces the cutting-edge techniques he has studied and practiced.
Alberto earned a Doctorate degree in Agricultural Studies from the University of Florence and studied enology in Bordeaux and at the University of California, Davis.
