Our internal Employee Resource Groups help us accomplish this by providing opportunities for professional development, networking, outreach and cultural enrichment.
La Casa is Gallo’s ERG for Latinos, and their allies, with the goal of fostering an environment that empowers Latinos to develop, influence, and build cultural awareness across the organization.
WOWS is Gallo’s ERG for women, and their allies, with the goal of developing and supporting female employees through networking events, mentoring, and professional development.
GAAN is Gallo’s ERG for African Americans, and their allies, with the goal of providing a forum to enhance and support the recruitment, retention and professional development of African American employees.
PRIDE is Gallo's ERG for our LGBTQ+ community and their allies to create change and foster an inclusive environment for our employees, consumers, and industry by promoting and amplifying LGBTQ+ voices.
GVO is Gallo’s ERG for veterans, those on active duty, and their allies, with the goal of providing a forum for support, networking, and professional development.
ASIA is Gallo’s ERG for our Asian community, and their allies, with the goal of enhancing awareness, mentorship, and understanding of Asian cultures.
enABLE is Gallo’s ERG supporting those with disabilities, their caregivers, and allies, with the goal of increasing awareness and support for the disability community.
As a family-owned winery, it is a priority to us that future generations can experience the natural resources we enjoy today. In fact, our commitment to the environment began in the 1930s when co-founders Ernest and Julio Gallo introduced an innovative approach to land conservation in the North Coast known as the “50/50 Give Back” plan. For every acre of land planted in vineyard, one acre of property was set aside for wildlife habitat — a practice that continues today in the North Coast. We also proudly support the American Farmland Trust in their efforts to help protect our nation’s farm and ranch land, promote environmentally sound farming practices, and improve the economic viability of agriculture.
The Dry Creek Building brings together key business partners in a common location and is designed to help drive collaboration and innovation. E. & J. Gallo Winery believes in the importance of preserving and enhancing the land for future generations and wanted the Dry Creek Building to be classic, timeless, and of the earth. The Dry Creek Building was completed in 2016, and achieved LEED® Gold status by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Gallo was the first winery in the United States to receive the ISO 14001 certification. Created to assist companies throughout the world to reduce their impacts on the environment, our winemaking facilities and related businesses have been certified to be in conformance with these rigorous standards. These standards are incorporated in an environmental management system (EMS) developed by Gallo, which guides all processes at our wineries and spirits facilities throughout California and Washington. The EMS translates Gallo environmental policy into action at every staff level and encourages similar efforts with our suppliers and trading partners.
